Your adventure begins with a short walk through our cacao plantation, where you will discover one of the most diverse international cacao collections in Costa Rica’s Central Pacific region. During the tour, your professional bilingual guide will explain the different cacao varieties, their ancestral history, and the importance of cacao in world culture and economy.
One of the highlights of the experience is the opportunity to taste fresh cacao fruit directly from the pod before it is processed. You will also participate in the traditional chocolate-making process, learning how cacao is transformed into chocolate while tasting different varieties combined with banana and tropical fruits.
At the end of the tour, guests will have the opportunity to purchase organic chocolate bars and cacao-based products available at the park. This is one of the most unique things to do in Jacó, Costa Rica, offering the perfect mix of culture, nature, and flavor.

Yes, if you like we can take you directly up to the chocolate station, so you do not have to walk too much.
What is this tour about?
On this tour, you will get a short nature walk and then you will learn how to prepare chocolate the artisanal way, directly from the fruit.
How long is the walk?
It’s just a short trail, most of the tour is done at the chocolate station.
Will I be able to eat chocolate?
Yes, during the tour you will be able to try the chocolate paste, the traditional hot cocoa drink, fruits with chocolate, and chocolate samples of all kinds.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, the best is that you book ahead of time, to guarantee your space, you can book online, by phone or email.
What time is the Park open?
We open from 7:00 am and close around 5:00 pm.
Should I bring a camera?
You can but it’s under your own responsibility, we take professional photos on all the tours and you can view them at the end.
What happens if it rains?
Rain is normally a problem only from July to November, so if you come during these months try to book your tours in the morning.
Are tours canceled if it rains?
If there is lightning, strong winds or torrential rain, we will put the tour on hold and wait for it to clear, if you do not want to wait, or there is no time, you can reschedule the tour to another day.
